Car Hauler Rental in Garland, TX
A car hauler is for a vehicle that should not be driven: a project car, a dead battery, or a second vehicle that will not fit behind the truck. AMD Trailer Rental offers car hauler trailers for Garland customers, subject to availability.
The usual Garland request is a project car or a vehicle that will not start and should not be driven to the shop. This is a deck built to carry a vehicle. It is not a light utility trailer with a couple of boards for ramps.
Pickup for Garland car hauler rentals
All customer trailer pickup and return is at the McKinney yard: 5168 Baxter Well Rd, McKinney, TX 75071. The yard is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no trailer pickup in Garland. Reserve first, then come to the yard when the job is ready.
Bring a driver license, a way to pay, and insurance proof when that rental asks for it. We check the hitch, lights, and safety chains with you before you leave. Call or text (469) 972-8824 if you are unsure which size fits the tow vehicle.
Yard details are on the McKinney location page. Start from trailer rental for Garland if you are still choosing a trailer type.
Before the car goes on the deck
Tell us the vehicle type and whether it rolls and steers. A car that has to be winched needs a different plan than one that drives on. Confirm the ball size and that the tow vehicle can handle the combined weight. Strap the car at the frame, not only over the tires, and use the winch or the ramps the way we walk through at the yard.
The trip and the return
Leave extra room to stop, and take corners wider than you would in the truck alone. On the way back, the deck should be empty of personal items, loose parts, and straps that are not ours. If you only need an open deck for lumber, use a utility trailer instead.
